Turkeisha Brown

NyKedtra M. Brown is a native of Aurora, a small rural town in Eastern North Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000.  She is also a graduate of Duke University where where she received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2005.  In 2006, she became Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Mrs. Brown is currently practicing as a Primary Care Provider.  She has worked with thousands of patients over the years in a variety of settings which include hospital, office, and retail health.  Her work done in rural health with minorities, underserved, uninsured, and disadvantaged populations really fueled her passion to start Zing Life Services Inc.  It is important that ongoing efforts are made to reduce health disparities, inequalities and to decrease barriers to health care.  With all of the advances in healthcare and disease management over the years, minority populations continue to be affected in higher rates with higher mortalities by things that can be prevented or managed.

"When know better, you do better" is one of NyKedtra's favorite sayings.  It is her desire to educate, teach, empower and train minorities and all individuals who desire to make better health decisions.  It has been said that out people perish for lack of knowledge.  NyKedtra wants to change that one person at a time.
